Translation of Suratul Ikhlas

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

1. Say He is Allah, (the) One.

2. Allah – the Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need.

3. He begets not, nor was He begotten.

4. And there is none comparable to Him.

Lessons learnt in Suratul Ikhlas.

1. It teaches Tawheed (Oneness of Allah).

2. Surah Al-Ikhlas (chapter 112 of the Qur’an) was revealed in Makkah.

3. The surah teaches monotheism ( Tawheed).

4. It surah discourage polytheism ( shirk).

5. Allāh is one, and needs no-one.

6. Allāh does not give birth; He has no offspring (children).

7. Allāh was not born; He has no (parents).

8. Allāh will never had an equal.
