SS II WEEK IRK

    DATE: Monday 27th June, 2022. SUBJECT: Islamic studies CLASS: SS II TOPIC: Authenticity of the Hadith INTRODUCTION The need for establishing the authenticity of hadith. Unlike the Quran, the hadith was not documented during the Prophet’s lifetime. The Prophet is reported to have discouraged the writing of his sayings lest they might be confused with the text of the Quran. The Hadith were therefore passed on mainly orally before they were committed to writing and gathered into collections between one hundred and three hundred years after Hijrah during the reign of the Caliphate of Umar Ibn Abdul ' Aziz. Obviously, when words are not recorded in writing at once there is a possibility of errors in their transmission: 1. The human memory is fallible:  A saying might be partly forgotten or the meaning changed by mistake. 3. There is a possibility of forgery: An unscrupulous person holding a different view may invent or change the Prophet’s saying on purpose in order to sup...

Fard or wajib (Obligatory) 2. Sunnah (recommendable) 3 Mustahabah ( desire) Fara'id acts of Wudu This is the obligatory or compulsory steps of wudu. DATE: Monday 27th June, 2022. SUBJECT: Islamic studies CLASS: SS I TOPIC: Types of Al-Ghusl There are five  (5) types of Al-Ghusl 1. Janabah. 2. Janazah. 3. Hayd. 4. Nifas. 5. Dukhulul-Islam. Types of Al-Ghusl and their cause (s) 1 . Janabah - having a wet dream. - having a sexual intercourse. - lost of penis cap in a woman's vagina. 2. Janazah - when a Muslim die. 3. Hayd - disappearance of menstural bleeding. 4. Nifas  - stoppage of bleeding from childbirth. 5. Dukhulul-Islam - when one convert or accept Islam. Wash the hands twice or thrice. 2- Wash the private parts. 3- Beaten the hands on the ground or against a wall two or three times. 4- Perform wudu, washing each part once. 5- Pour water on the head and wash it trice. 6- wash the  remaining part of the body. 7- washing the the feet.

JSS TWO ISLAMIC STUDIES

  DATE: Monday 27th June, 2022. SUBJECT: Islamic studies. CLASS: JSS II TOPIC: Restitution and feeding in lieu of Qada and It'am. As-Sawm means fasting. Fasting in the month of Ramadan is one of the basic pillars of Islam. It is obligatory upon every Muslim.  However, Allah exempt some people from it, in accordance with His say in Q2:V184; click here to see the verse.  What is Qada? Qada means restitution or fasting for the number of days missed during the month of Ramadan. Qada is necessary when a fast in the month of Ramadan is missed by the following: 1. One who is sick. 2. One who undertakes a journey. 3. A menstruating woman. 4. A nursing mother who fears for the baby. 5. A pregnant woman who fears that fasting may cause harm to the unborn baby. Waht is It'am? Date: Monday 27th June, 2022.  Subject: ISLAMIC STUDIES Class: JSS ONE  Topic SURATUL IKHLAS  The arabic text of suratul Ikhlas. Click here   Translation of Suratul Ikhlas In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. 1. Say  He is Allah, (the) One. 2. Allah  – the Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need. 3.  He begets not, nor was He begotten. 4.  And there is none comparable to Him. Lessons learnt in Suratul Ikhlas. 1. It teaches  Tawheed (Oneness of Allah). 2. Surah Al-Ikhlas (chapter 112 of the Qur’an) was revealed in Makkah. 3. The surah teaches monotheism ( Tawheed). 4. It surah discourage polytheism ( shirk). 5. Allāh  is one, and  needs  no-one. 6. Allāh  does not give birth; He has no offspring (children). 7. Allāh  was not born; He has no (parents). 8. Allāh  will never had an equal.
